We had confirmed our booking and paid after reserving 1 to 2 months ahead, but only learned on arrival that the property could no longer honor it. I’d booked for my friends, so this put me in a very difficult position. They arranged alternative accommodation, but it was nowhere near the standard we expected. It was in the city, run-down, and the washrooms were unsatisfactory. The owner we contacted directly wasn’t courteous and didn’t apologize. He acted as if it wasn’t his problem and didn’t check on us. Sorting everything out took a good 2 to 3 hours, and we missed the kayaking activities included in the booking.

A peaceful, picturesque eco lodge with mud huts to stay in. The hut experience is great, and the view at dawn and sunset is lovely. It’s in a fairly warm area, though it doesn’t feel that way. The place is a bit famous with foreign visitors during the southern tourist season, and any foreigner would enjoy staying even ond day. Liquor is available. Nice place to visit, highly recommended.
