Villa Peacock

The chef’s food was superb, and both caretakers were friendly and happy to follow our requests without imposing strict rules. Mrs. Champa also coordinated everything smoothly, from our first reservation through checkout. Our group of 13 stayed for two nights at Villa Peacock in Galle, around 2 km from the Pinnaduwa interchange. There’s plenty of parking, plus an outdoor space where we played badminton and cricket. We could use our JBL speaker and enjoy music without sound restrictions. The villa was luxurious and very well maintained, with five clean, spacious, fully air-conditioned bedrooms, each with an attached bathroom. We also appreciated the pool and the separate dining area and kitchen. It was a peaceful, comfortable choice for a group or family. One small thing that could be added in future is a separate or extra room for a driver.

The garden and pool were well kept, and the quiet, nature-filled setting near the Pinnaduwa Highway exit made it easy to relax. We had a fabulous stay at Villa Peacock Galle with eight people. There were five air-conditioned rooms, a cozy living area, and a separate dining hall that worked well for group meals. Food: 4/5 Rooms: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5 Overall: 5/5 I’d recommend it for a laid-back getaway with friends or family, especially if you like being close to nature.

A peaceful place to unwind, with spacious, clean rooms and really good service. We felt it was great value for money. Highly recommended.

Arriving with a baby and then having to wait for a hotel room to be prepared after being displaced made the whole situation extremely stressful. We had a confirmed booking at this villa, but the owner had also accepted another booking for the same dates, so we had nowhere to stay when we arrived. We were sent to a different hotel, whose very poor standards did not compare with what we had booked. The alternative arrangements were inadequate, and the villa owner’s response was unsatisfactory. Better booking management could have prevented this inconvenience. The experience showed a lack of care and accountability, so I’d advise future guests to be cautious when booking.
