We were left waiting until around 3:30 PM for our room, even though check-in was clearly listed as 2:00 PM. No one gave us a proper explanation or apology. The front office staff also had a very bad attitude and weren’t welcoming. Parking was another problem, since there’s no proper space for it and the situation was poorly managed. The service and organization were extremely disappointing, nothing like the hospitality we expected. I wouldn’t recommend Ara Beach Resort.

The view from my room was breathtaking, and the location was great and really quiet. Breakfast was generous and tasty, too. Special thanks to the front desk staff, who were always friendly and greeted me with a smile.

We had a wonderful few days here. The hotel feels like a little paradise, tucked away beside a wild, unspoiled stretch of coast. It’s beautiful and quiet, with lovely rooms and a great pool. The lively beach is about 1.5 km away, just a few minutes by tuk-tuk. The staff were very friendly. I’d happily return and can highly recommend it.

We only spent one night here, and it was awful. The front office lady was extremely unfriendly, and the other staff seemed confused, untrained, and useless. They also allegedly threatened a previous guest over an old broken shower, demanding $140 for something worth less than $25. The food was awful, and no one answered the phones or offered help. The hotel says it’s in Mirissa, but it’s 1.2 km from the beach, which isn’t suitable for swimming. A few rooms do have ocean views, but that description was misleading for ours, which only had a partial view. Easily the worst hotel experience I’ve had in Mirissa. Avoid.
