Peacocks wandering through the back garden were a fun surprise at The Breeze Mirissa. The house felt welcoming, and the staff were lovely. Rushini, the owner's daughter, shared useful local advice and even spent time with us at the beach. We found it comfortable and well placed for Mirissa sunsets and restaurants such as Bunga Bunga. Breakfasts were pleasantly lazy, and we also had tasty local food, including Kottu for lunch. It made a great base for the final stretch of our Sri Lankan trip.

The beach was only a few steps away, and the area around the place was quiet. We had a pleasant stay, with a nice room and good food. The family were friendly and helped us plan trips and sort out other things we needed. A nice spot to stay.

A delightful breakfast and a lovely stretch of secluded beach just behind the building. This is a wonderful family-run hotel, and the host was very kind.

The small separate house we stayed in had no AC, though I can't say whether the main house has it. It was a simple, nice place, with a basic kitchen that felt fairly low standard. There were coconut trees in the backyard, and a small beach nearby, but swimming there isn't very easy. Mirissa or Talalla are better options for that. A yoga instructor was renting the place during my stay, which was a nice touch. She planned to stay on for a few more months, though I assume that was a one-off.

The hosts are lovely and do their best to help. Yasith was especially helpful and offered to drive us to good places nearby. It's a very nice guesthouse right by a private beach. Hope I get to see them again!
