The Wild Heaven

The staff made a real effort to mark my husband’s birthday after I told them in advance, which made our one-night stop special. We had a clean, pleasant room, a lovely pool, good air conditioning, and secure parking for our tuk tuk. Breakfast was very good, with fresh fruit, eggs cooked how you like, and toast. We’d definitely stay again while travelling through Sri Lanka.

We slept really well in a cozy, clean room, and the food was a highlight: the best kottu we’ve tried so far in Sri Lanka. The garden and amazing pool are lovely places to read or just enjoy the quiet. It’s a peaceful spot for unwinding, and we’d definitely come back.

For our late check-in and early departure after safari, the front desk staff were very sweet and packed us breakfast, which was handy: bread and butter, banana, pineapple, and cake. The rooms were large and clean, and it was good value for one night. There were lots of mosquitoes and bugs around the property because it’s near the jungle. Nets were provided for the beds, but sitting outside was difficult. The shared areas could use better upkeep and cleaning.

Manager Sean was easy to reach and really friendly, and he made sure our group of eight had what we needed, including some last-minute requests. The rooms were excellent and well kept. There’s a nice pool with beds beside it for relaxing. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked very clean. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
