Jkab Park Hotel

If you travel to Trincomalee, you should stay at a hotel beside the beach. JKab Park is full of mosquitoes and plants. Not recommended at all.

Breakfast was included in our booking, but they charged us extra and didn’t provide it. The way they treated the drivers was appalling: their accommodation was poor, almost animal-like, and they couldn’t rest properly because hotel staff kept disturbing them. Staff also showed no respect to guests. The atmosphere was loud, disrespectful, and very unprofessional. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I strongly advise against booking here under any circumstances. Avoid it at all costs.

Prices were reasonable, and the staff generally provided good service, so the stay was decent. The hotel needs better upkeep, though. The swimming pool had broken tiles that felt unsafe, and the water seemed like it might not have had enough chlorine, which raised hygiene concerns. The room TVs didn’t work because only a few rooms have satellite dish receivers. That was disappointing. With more care and maintenance, the hotel could offer a much better experience.

I wouldn’t recommend this place in Tricomalee. The rooms are very basic for such a steep price. I arrived for breakfast at 8:00 am and there was nothing to eat. I called the manager, who promised food, but in the end I had to eat what was available, and it wasn’t the full menu. The juice was almost water with colouring. I felt bad for the foreigners who came later and had nothing to eat.
