Dining at Mallika Resthouse in Trincomalee was a big disappointment. The dishes we ordered were all bland or overcooked, and none seemed fresh. The food was poor quality for what we paid, and I wouldn’t recommend eating there. There are much better choices in the area.

The rooftop gives you a view of trincomalee harbour, and the central location makes it easy to travel around trincomalee. Rooms are reasonably priced, and there’s a restaurant downstairs where you can get food. I’d recommend it for a family trip.

We stopped for lunch while traveling as a group. The staff were very friendly, and good quality food is available to suit your requirements. They also have clean, nice rooms at a reasonable price. It’s very close to Navy Dock Yard. Highly recommended.
