Sea Lotus Park Hotel

The staff were lovely and always ready to help, and the price felt fair for what we got. The rooms are a bit dated, though they do have new air conditioning. The owner seems short on funds to restore the hotel to the condition it had before. It’s right on a great beach, with fantastic food just around the corner.

The team made our stay feel really special, and Jude and everyone there looked after us with so much care and professionalism. We’re very grateful to them. Our room was spacious, with a spectacular ocean view, and we were welcomed warmly from the moment we arrived. The hotel sits right by the beach, with easy access to the sea and lots of restaurants. We spent plenty of time in the pool and on the local beaches. Uppuveli and Nilaveli are both lovely for long walks, and at night you can spot white crabs. The area has a relaxed, friendly feel, with beachfront places to eat and activities like yoga or beach volleyball, usually starting at 5. Carrom seems to be everywhere, so ask a local to show you how to play. It gets addictive! We also tried Ayurvedic massages at a few places and really enjoyed them. Trinco is a great base for scuba diving, whether you already dive or are thinking about getting your PADI certification. Do take time to find a trustworthy, capable school. Sea Lotus hotel feels like a hidden gem. We had a wonderful time here with our family and friends, and would happily return. One practical note, it doesn’t look like you can book the hotel through booking, so contacting them directly may be worth it. Joanna and Alexander x

The beachfront setting was a lovely part of my stay at Sea Lotus Park in Trincomalee. It’s a good place for a long walk, a swim, or just some time relaxing beneath the palms. The restaurant had a mix of local and international food, and the fresh seafood stood out. My room was clean, roomy, and well equipped, with a beautiful ocean view. Waking to the waves and seeing the sunrise over the water was unforgettable. The staff were courteous and attentive, always ready to help with a smile, and made everything feel easy and comfortable. I found it a peaceful, memorable place that brings together scenic views, comfort, and warm Sri Lankan hospitality. It would suit couples, families, or solo travelers visiting the beautiful Trincomalee area, and I highly recommend it.
