Happy beach resort

We only stayed one night, which was a shame because this little hotel was a lovely find. The owner was very nice and breakfast was fantastic. A private beach just outside town makes it feel like a small paradise, and it never felt packed with tourists. There were crabs, turtles, and shrimp all over the beach, which was great for us nature lovers.

The budget room was comfortable, with AC, even though it didn't have a sea view. We could still relax on the loungers by the water. The staff were helpful and polite. The hotel is right on the beach, where you can eat breakfast and watch turtles swimming in the ocean in front of you. Breakfast itself was decent.

The beachfront is the best part: the ocean is just steps away for a morning swim, and there are nice tables and loungers on the sand for guests. Breakfast is served there, and it was amazing. The resort is also within walking distance of the main strip. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with great AC, mosquito nets, and an amazing shower. The host was lovely and friendly. There was construction next door, which the host told us about before we arrived, but it only happened during daytime hours and didn't affect our stay. We'd happily return and highly recommend it.

We were pleasantly surprised by the tiny budget room. Though I wasn't sure what to expect before arriving, it had a decent amount of space, a large comfortable bed, AC, a private bathroom, and room for our luggage. We stayed one night and really enjoyed it. The hotel is right by a more private stretch of beach that we liked much better than Unawatuna Beach, where we only spent an hour. That's a very short walk away. Dinner spots are also close, about 2-7 minutes on foot. The owner was kind and helpful. Breakfast was fresh, handmade, delicious, and far more than we could finish, with a wonderful beach view. Fantastic value for money.
