We came back for dinner after a long time and loved it. This place has been around forever and is a real gem in Unawatuna. Their rice and curry, what they’re known for, was delicious, and the menu impressed us. There’s a great ice cream selection too. We were already full, but had to try the homemade blueberry flavor. It wasn’t as creamy as I expected, though it tasted good. We’ll definitely be back.

The staff were the best part, so kind and helpful. We spent four nights here as a family and didn’t want to leave. The hotel is right on a beautiful beach, with modern, clean rooms and really good quality food. Four days just wasn’t enough. You won’t be disappointed.

The food was the standout of our dinner at Sun Sea Hotel Restaurant, though the atmosphere and service were lovely too. Their wood-fired pizzas are the best we’ve ever had. The fresh, high-quality ingredients come through, and the crust from the wood-fired oven has a great crunch and smoky finish. It’s clearly the highlight of the menu.

Kasy Wickeamasuriya is a passionate hotelier who kept checking with us and the staff to make sure the service was making us happy. We spent three nights here in December 2025, and this charming little hotel has a lot of history. It was the first hotel on our month-long trip, and the staff set a very high bar for the rest of the tour. Thanks to everyone for making our stay at your boutique hotel memorable.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location felt safe and ideal for swimming in the sea. Our granddaughter, who was on holiday in Sri Lanka with two friends, had booked the hotel for my wife and me. It was a very pleasant experience for all of us.
