Villa Space

We celebrated a birthday at Villa SPACE, and the arrangements were handled so well. We also come here often for meals, and the food is always delicious and served beautifully. The rooms feel stylish, comfortable, and carefully designed. It’s a calm place to unwind by the pool, too, with a lovely atmosphere and attentive service.

The hosts made us feel like family and were happy to help with bikes, trips, and good dinner spots. Even though the center is close, the villa feels wonderfully quiet, with birdsong in the morning and a sense of being away from everything. Our villa was spotless and spacious, with a kitchen, a huge terrace overlooking the jungle, and thoughtful details throughout. The furnishings are new and stylish, the rain shower is powerful, the mattresses are orthopedic, Wi-Fi is fast, and there was even a capsule coffee machine as a gift. Unawatuna Beach is a five-minute walk, while Jungle Beach takes about three minutes by tuk tuk. For the price, this felt like the best option in southern Sri Lanka. We’re already planning another visit. 10/10, would recommend!

We'd happily return to Villa Space Unawatuna. The location worked well for us, with Unawatuna Beach nearby and easy access to Galle and the surf spots around Ahangama. Julia welcomed us with real warmth and professionalism, and she arranged whatever we needed with ease. The staff were attentive while still giving us plenty of privacy. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared, and the food alone is worth a visit even if you're not staying at the villa. If you can, pick a room with an outdoor shower, it adds a lovely tropical feel. We had a great stay and highly recommend the place.

The pool and the view were phenomenal, and the staff were fantastic. A little of the blue grout came off the pool when you leaned against it, but it washed off easily. We also had a cooking experience that was a lot of fun, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with a huge wardrobe area at the back. The big doors locked securely and made us feel safe. The only part we didn't enjoy was the outdoor shower, where mosquitoes and some ants meant we didn't feel comfortable leaving toiletries outside. Everything felt well planned, and we'd definitely stay again. Wish we'd booked longer.
