Yoho Milkyway Holiday Resort

We've stayed here three times with a group of friends, and every visit has been wonderful. It's surrounded by beautiful nature and has a quiet, peaceful feel that makes it feel like home. The staff were always friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect, just a short distance from Unawatuna and Jungle Beach. Great service, a lovely setting, and memories we'll hold onto. It feels like our own place whenever we're here, and we're definitely planning to come back.

This is a lovely option near Unawatuna if you want a quiet stay surrounded by nature without luxury resort prices. It's a good fit for couples, solo travelers, or small groups who value comfort, good service, and peace more than flashy amenities. Nand, the manager, and the owner were welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We felt at home and well looked after, and they offered us coconut water as a welcome drink. We also had a nice chat about all sorts of things. The resort sits in a green, jungle-like setting, with a lagoon or river nearby, palm trees, wildlife, and fireflies at night. We saw monitor lizards, birds, and monkeys. It was very relaxing for getting away from the hustle. If available, ask for a room with a river or lagoon view, or a balcony. The views are among the best here.

The staff at Milkyway Holiday Resort were the most welcoming people we met in all of Sri Lanka. Nanda, the manager, was so kind and helpful, and made us feel like family. You really must try the breakfast if you stay, it was exceptional and we ate until we couldn't manage any more! Nanda showed us around the grounds, where we saw lizards, monkeys, birds, and a wide variety of fruit trees. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well. We had an amazing few nights here and only wished we'd stayed longer. We'll definitely come back. Thank you so much!
