The beach is only three minutes away, and the house feels welcoming and comfortable. It’s clean, cozy, and has everything you need. The balcony looks onto a tidy garden full of flowers and greenery. I especially liked eating on the second-floor terrace, where the kitchen and dining table are set up beside the balcony, almost surrounded by the garden. The hosts are kind and generous. When I returned a few months later, it felt like visiting friends again. They had the little things ready when needed, from tea, soap, toothpaste, and mosquito coils to repellents, and they even took away the previous day’s rubbish each morning. They also shared their national food with us. I had a lovely stay, and I wish them every success.

We had a peaceful night here, thanks to the guesthouse being set back from the main road. Anura Home Stay is right beside a lovely beach, and I’d happily return. Even though we booked late, the host welcomed us without any trouble. Our room and the shared bathroom were both spacious and spotless, and the living room and shared terrace were lovely, with a view over the lush garden. A mosquito net on the bed or window would be a helpful addition, since it would let us open the window and keep the room cooler.
