The Villa by Contemporary Ceylon

The villa’s art collection could keep me looking all day, and the calm atmosphere was lovely. The staff were caring and attentive, and every cuisine was prepared by the chef to perfection. This was the best home stay experience we’ve had anywhere in the world during our SL vacation. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting quiet family time.

The food was amazing, and we could eat either in the dining room or outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and seemed to anticipate what we needed, whether that meant moving loungers into the sun, bringing a drink, or getting a fresh towel. They were happy to help with anything or offer advice. The hotel is a peaceful haven, with a pool, sun loungers, and lots of comfortable seating outdoors. Our family room was huge, with two big double beds for two adults and two kids, a roomy bathroom with a walk-in shower, toiletries, and a big TV on the wall. There isn’t much in the area, so I’d give the location four stars. The train station is a five-minute walk away, though, making it easy to get around. We took the train to Colombo, which took 45 minutes.

Villa CC, please forgive this very late review, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Dharini, Tania, Rizwan, and the whole team gave us and our loved ones an unforgettable wedding and stay. They went above and beyond to make the occasion feel special, and we feel blessed to have found them. The food, venue, setting, and service were all exceptional. We’re grateful, and indebted to them.

We went as three families and had the dining area to ourselves. The food was much like fine dining. This premium luxury home stay has just seven rooms, so it works really well for a big family meetup.
