The staff made this stay especially memorable. They were attentive and so kind, and the warm, family-like welcome made me feel at home. The hotel is right by the water in Matara, with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. It was a wonderful place to unwind and take in Sri Lanka. I’d love to return.

The restaurant service from the manager and the rest of the team was outstanding. There was a good range of food, and it tasted excellent. Everyone greeted me warmly from the moment I arrived and was very friendly. The hotel had a cosy, inviting atmosphere, and my daycation was great. I’ll definitely come back for a stay.

The owners run the hotel themselves, and it has a welcoming, homely family feel. We visited with our family and loved it. The rooms were spotless, clean and spacious, with care given to the details. Food was good, especially the wood oven pizza and the curries, though the curries were spicy. The beach is nearby, sandy at first and then rocky. It didn’t take away from the magic of the place. It’s close to Marissa for whale watching, as well as beaches for turtle swimming and snorkelling.

I wouldn't recommend this place to families. I arranged a trip with friends, but the staff and managers acted unprofessionally. When I pointed out stains and dirt on the coffee cups, they got aggressive and threatened me. They cancelled my appointment, then took several weeks of repeated follow-ups before returning my money. The place seems poorly managed, and you can't predict how they'll behave.
