New planet guest

We booked a room for one night that afternoon. As soon as we got there, it was obvious how dirty it was. I wiped the floor with a piece of paper and it turned black. I called the host to let him know, and then things turned into his personal show. He got arrogant with my girlfriend and me and tried to make physical contact with me. His wife stopped him from coming closer. He started shouting that we should be ashamed, that we’d only booked one night, and that we shouldn’t expect anything for the price we paid, around 24 dollars. He chose the price on booking, not me. He never apologized for the terrible service to a client, and did nothing to fix the situation. He said our only two options were to stay without him cleaning anything, or leave for another place. We arrived at 20.00 in january Peak season, so finding another available room wasn’t simple, but he didn’t care. Someone like him shouldn’t work in tourism. The way he behaved felt far removed from the kindness and peacefulness I found throughout Sri Lanka. I suggested he take some yoga lessons so he could stay calm, solve problems he creates, and finally start cleaning rooms.
