Costels mirissa

We liked the location, close enough to the beach but set back enough to stay peaceful. We were in a private double room, and ended up adding two more nights. The room was clean, the bed was very comfy and had a blanket, and there was AC. The bathroom was spacious with a good shower, though the water was lukewarm. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The hostel is pretty, and the staff were kind at first, which made what happened more disappointing. We found bed bugs in our hostel room during the night. There were only two of us in the room, and the staff kindly moved us to a private one straight away, but we found bed bugs there too. It was around midnight, with no staff available, so we slept outside in a hammock. When the owner woke in the middle of the night, my friend told him we had found them again. He became angry and blamed us, saying we must have brought them in. A mattress was missing from the first room, which made us wonder if the problem was already known. We understand bed bugs are very difficult for hostels to get rid of, especially with wooden beds, but blaming guests isn't a good way to handle it. It was an uncomfortable night and we slept terribly in the hammock. We left at 6 a.m. without seeing anyone. The way it was handled left us with a negative impression.

The room was clean and really comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Breakfast was included and tasted great. The staff were very kind, especially Asam&dala. Excellent hotel in a great location.

The staff kept watching TikToks at full volume right outside the rooms, which made for a very unpleasant stay. My first room had black mold all over the walls, a broken AC, and mosquito nets with holes. I switched rooms, where the AC worked, but that room was full of mold too, with paint over it, as well as mosquitoes, cockroaches, and a spider. Better to spend your time and money somewhere else.
