Coastal Retreat Mirissa

We had a lovely office trip with 14 people at Coastal Retreat Mirissa. The team were kind, professional, and always ready to help. They arranged breakfast and dinner, including a tasty BBQ that we all enjoyed. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the rooms were cozy and comfortable. We also appreciated the heaters and tea bags. We’d definitely like to visit again!

Right in the center of Mirissa, and great value for the price. The building is a little old, but it’s kept up nicely. Our room was good, the beds were clean, and the hot water, AC, and other listed amenities all worked. They also leave free tea and coffee in the room. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful holiday here with friends from August 9 to 17, 2025. The staff were cheerful, attentive, and always available to help with requests. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, served at the time we’d arranged. They also took our preferences into account and happily gave us an alternative when we said we don’t eat sausages. The hotel felt clean and cozy, with tidy grounds and a spacious room that had everything we needed. We could get an iron at reception. The large pool was well cared for, and there were showers and water taps for rinsing off sand after the beach. The beach is about a 10-minute walk at an easy pace. Everything made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff were top-notch, and I’d highly recommend the hotel.

Awful experience. There were four of us, and one person had booked a deluxe room and a double room together. Our friends in the deluxe room found the AC broken, the linens dirty, no view as described, and could hear everything outside. They cancelled straight away, moved to an AirBnB, and got a full refund for the day. We’d only put our bags down in the double room before going to the beach. When we came back, there were ants and mosquitoes everywhere. The AC didn’t work in our room either, and the linens were dirty when we checked them. Since both rooms were under one booking and head office cancelled it with a full refund, we asked for our money back so we could find somewhere else. The desk staff tried to move us into the deluxe room our friends had just left. When we said no, they insisted we pay for a day, even though we were entitled to a full refund. Wouldn’t recommend this place.
