The fireflies in the garden caught me off guard. Seeing them made me emotional, and the little tree house has such sweet, simple decorations. Bird House is a home built by a lovely family, and they made me feel welcome and comfortable enough to look forward to coming back after a day out. When I travel, I want to get to know local people and be part of everyday life where I can. The family helped me find tours and offered guidance, and they prepare local food for guests in advance. That made the stay feel much more meaningful to me than a generic hotel. The place is central and close to everything, but tucked into a quiet area, about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach. It was by far my best hotel or hostel experience. I’d do my best to spend at least a night here if I pass through Mirissa. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did 🥰🥰

The little wooden house among the trees was cozy and comfortable, with nature all around and a peaceful feel. It’s also really convenient, with the beach, restaurants, and shops all within walking distance. Ishan did everything he could to make my stay work and shared great travel tips. His mother cooked amazing meals. Great value for money, and I only wish I’d stayed longer.

A simple, very affordable room in a quiet spot that’s still close to the beach. It’s rustic and basic, but I really liked it. Ishan and his family were wonderful, super helpful, and made lovely meals. Highly recommend if you want somewhere uncomplicated :)

Ishan’s mom made such delicious food while I was staying at Bird House. I had a great time there. If you love being around nature, definitely check the place out!
