Mirissa Beach House

We found the room clean and well looked after, and breakfast each morning came with fresh fruit. The owners were especially helpful and friendly, including with arranging transfers and activities. The beach is only a few minutes away on foot, with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. We had a lovely stay in Mirissa and would gladly come back. Definitely recommend it.

We felt very welcome at Mirissa Beach Inn, thanks to the loving family who run it. Our Deluxe Family Room was spacious, clean, and relaxing, with a balcony overlooking natural surroundings. The beach is close by and breakfast was delicious. We had a wonderful stay and I'd definitely book here again.

We stayed at Mirissa Beach Inn from 1-3 February. Getting around was easy: the beach and Coconut Tree Hill are within walking distance, and the main road with buses to Galle or Matara is a short stroll away. The room was basic but okay, though it had no toiletries at all, not even shampoo or body wash. Breakfast was included, simple and tasty, and probably the best part of our stay. The payment issue left a bad impression. We booked through Booking.com expecting to pay the listed price, but on arrival the staff offered two options: pay that amount in cash or pay extra by card. This hadn't been mentioned when booking. We reported it to Booking.com, but the hotel apparently showed them a copy stating we'd paid in cash, which wasn't what happened. It felt a bit shady. Good location and decent breakfast, but with the missing basics and payment problem, I'd suggest confirming the terms beforehand.

The peaceful atmosphere and helpful, kind staff made our stay enjoyable. Our room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was filling and tasty. It's a pleasant place in Mirissa, with the beach conveniently close by.
