We liked the hotel's beach much more than Mirissa's, where we went for the waves. It was calmer and less crowded. The property is split between three buildings: the main one is by the sea, with breakfast and sea-view rooms; another has apartments, a spa and a pool; the third, where we stayed, is a minute's walk from the main building and has its own pool and great rooms. There are two private beaches and large, clean pools. A highlight was spotting turtles swimming nearby and being able to feed them seagrass. The rooms were spacious and clean, newly renovated, with very comfortable beds. The food and cocktails were fantastic, and all the staff were wonderful and caring. The lovely Sri Lankan-Scottish owners, Fiona and Indika, were welcoming and always smiling. They even arranged local activities and a shuttle to Colombo. We felt looked after throughout our stay. It’s a real gem for families, and we highly recommend it. We’ll definitely be back.
