This is our family’s favorite place in Sri Lanka. The area is quiet, with shops and public transport within walking distance, and it’s easy to call a car or tuk-tuk. The rooms are nice and reasonably priced, with no mold, which matters. The owners are wonderful and hospitable, and the location is very convenient, with sea views and incredible sunsets 😍. I highly recommend it, and we’ll be back.

The sea is right outside at Residence Riviera, so we could go for a swim to cool off or snorkel and see the beautiful fish and turtles. We had such a good time there. Service at Residence Riviera was very satisfying, and Madam cooked the best traditional Sri Lankan food for us. You shouldn’t miss staying here!

The beach is right by the sea, next to cosy and safe Polhena Beach. You can swim with turtles and see colourful fish at the coralreef. A very friendly family runs the place and will meet your needs. Madam is an excellent cook, serving all kinds of delicious, genuine Sri Lankan dishes for breakfast and dinner during our stay. Try it out!!!
