The two rooms we booked were quite different. One was good, the other less so, though both had something broken or not working. The staff were friendly, and the location was alright, with no stunning views or anything like that. There’s a nice outdoor patio and balcony where you can eat. I’m not sure if they serve food, but there are plenty of food shops nearby. Fine enough for a night. 5/10, will visit again.

The on-site restaurant food was delicious, and the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. The place was clean and tidy, which made us want to stay in longer. White House holiday resort is one of the most amazing resorts we’ve visited, no doubt. Its location and good views are just right for a relaxing holiday in down South Sri Lanka. I’d definitely recommend White House holiday resort to anyone planning to travel down south. You wouldn’t regret it. Thank you, and I’m looking forward to visiting again.

A calm, cozy place with reasonable prices. It’s just 1.5 kms from the famous Polhena beach. At the time of this post, a triple bedroom cost LKR 2000, a double bed room LKR 1500, and AC rooms started at LKR 3000 onwards for a double.

A good option for booking rooms in Matara. They have A/C rooms, and parking for cars, vans and bikes, though not for big buses.
