The location was good, near the beach and away from the noisy street, and the kitchen was handy. But there was no WiFi in our room, no cutlery, and the kitchen needed cleaning and maintenance. After we paid, we barely saw the hosts again, and the friendly family people mention in other reviews wasn’t what we experienced. The room had a very strong mold smell that made it hard to sleep, which can’t be healthy. There were lots of mosquitoes, and with no mosquito nets on the doors or windows, airing out the room was difficult. The owner gave a lousy excuse about the missing nets. They’re common throughout Sri Lanka, so it felt like they didn’t care. A chemical plug by your bed or face isn’t a solution.

I stayed for three weeks, and it was perfect for me: clean, quiet, and right by the beach without being in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. The owners were so friendly, kind, and hospitable. The price, location, and cleanliness were all great. It’s a great choice for solo travelers, couples, or families. Highly recommend!

Noan and his family were caring and very friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms, bathrooms, and shared kitchen were all clean. It’s just a two minute walk to the beach, and I’d recommend the place 100%. Just check in advance whether your room has AC, since it can get too hot during the day.

We meant to stay for three nights and ended up extending to six because we loved it so much. The rooms are simple, clean, comfortable, and great value, and the location is awesome. It’s a proper family run place, and everyone was lovely and went above and beyond. I’d absolutely recommend it. We’ll be back on our next visit, can’t wait!
