Maluti Stay Lodge

The rooms were clean and cozy, and the views from Ramabanta were absolutely stunning. Keoreetse was kind and accommodating. Since the lodge is in a rural area without electricity, it runs a generator from 17h30 to 24h00 on weekends and until 22h00 on weekdays.

Likhapha was an amazing host who treated us with so much care and always went the extra mile. The rest of the staff were fabulous too, and breakfast was fresh and balanced. The lodge sits in a beautiful valley, right between Maseru and the Maletsunyane Falls. There's secure parking on site, and I never felt unsafe. I really have nothing bad to say about the place.

The mountain setting is lovely, about an hour from the falls, and a good base if you're visiting them. The rooms are basic, clean, and comfortable, though this isn't the place for modern conveniences or luxury. Keep in mind there's no nearby place to buy food or drinks, and there's no fridge, so plan ahead and bring what you need to cook on the braai. There is no electricity in this area. Generators run from 6-12 in the evening. If you want hot water for tea, the staff are very accommodating and will bring a flask to your room. We asked for water at 5.30am and got it, which impressed me a lot. There's WiFi in the office, but it's nearly useless, so assume you'll have none.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and happy to help. It's good value and close to Maletsunyane falls. Electricity is available only from 6pm-11pm, and the WiFi is almost non-existent. The staff will bring boiled water for tea or coffee whenever you need it, and there are braai facilities.
