The location is a real plus, only about 200 metres on foot from the old city, and there’s easy free parking inside. The bed was comfortable and clean, the room had heating and the basics I needed, and the woman who welcomed me was nice. It’s on the second floor with no elevator. The room felt too cramped to open my suitcase, so I shifted the bed to make space. Cleaning needs work: dirt was visible in several places, especially the bathroom and kitchenette. Sitting on the toilet, my knees hit the cabinet, so I had to sit at an angle. For the money, I found the value below average, though I think it could improve, especially with better cleaning.

It’s a safe, quiet area with local shops and a supermarket nearby, and the rooms have a nice view. The walk up the hill to the hotel is steep, though, and there are steep steps down towards the centre if you head down from there. There’s also space to park a car. This is a nicely run and well-kept family hotel. The small bathroom was clean and well stocked. Our double bed was comfortable, with extra blankets and pillows in the cupboard. The room had a microwave, small fridge, tea and coffee, a table for meals or drinks, cutlery in a drawer, and good lighting.

The room was really clean and comfortable, and the staff were lovely. They’re happy to chat and answer questions about the city. I’d recommend giving this apartment a try.

We stayed in the downstairs suite, which felt like a self-contained apartment with cooking and laundry facilities. There was plenty of room and it was good value, in a great spot for old Kaunas. The friendly owner does her best to make sure you have a good stay.
