Ibis Styles Kaunas Centre

The bed was very comfortable, but it didn't make up for the rest of the problems. We had to ask for a second towel, and the shower gel and soap dispensers were empty until we asked housekeeping to deal with them. There was hair on the shower taps, and the bed sheets hadn't been put on properly. Housekeeping felt like a half-finished job. Our room also had a connecting door to another room, with no sound insulation. The other guests were loud and came back early in the morning, waking us through that door. Avoid a room with a door into another hotel room if you can. This was my worst hotel stay. The place feels more like two stars. It's a cheap, basic hotel, but basic things weren't done properly. I'd book somewhere a bit nicer next time.

The rooms are very plain, and in winter a shoe rack or even a rug for wet shoes would help. The sheets felt strange and didn't breathe, so I got sweaty overnight. Breakfast wasn't great, especially at 14€. For the price, it's okay, I guess, but I probably won't stay again.

I’m from Ukraine and was meant to spend the night at this hotel, but I got stuck at the UA-PL border for 16 hours and ended up sleeping on the bus. The hotel still let us shower and gave us breakfast. I feel human again now. A huge thank you for that.

The staff were friendly and professional, and spoke good English. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself seems fairly new, just as you'd expect from Ibis Styles. My one small suggestion: it would be nice to have at least a few snacks for sale at the hotel bar for anyone getting hungry late in the evening. See you next time, greetings from Warsaw.
