Regina Guest House

Regina was lovely and accommodating, and she even let us leave our bags after checkout while we explored the city. We stayed for two nights to rest from a long trip and get some work done, and the Wi-Fi was really good. The room was clean, with a kettle and fridge, and laundry cost 2 euros. We needed an inexpensive room for one night while passing through Kaunas, and booked the day before. The reply came quickly. The booking price didn't include the 1€ per person resident tax. The older man on staff was helpful. His English wasn't great, but we managed to understand each other, and as we're from Czechia it felt a bit like a family cottage holiday. The room and facilities were clean, with a microwave, fridge, and a few plates, though there was no kitchen. The toilets smelled a little sometimes, so bring your own toilet paper. Parking is basically on the street right outside the guest house. Great value and a very positive stay, I'd recommend it.

It's quiet and close to the city, with parking available on the street outside the house. The host was friendly. She didn't speak English fluently, but we could understand each other.

We messaged to ask the dog fee, but after the host saw that we had three Labradors, they never replied. We understand not everyone wants three big dogs on their property, even well-behaved ones. But if you advertise a place as pet friendly, you should at least explain the prices or limits. The host seemed to dodge the issue instead of saying they didn't want us. We would honestly have preferred a direct answer.
