Mercure Klaipeda City

I think the hotel itself was good enough, but check-in service was poor. My room wasn’t ready at 18:00 even though I arrived within the timeframe I’d given during online check-in. Be aware, though: five months after I left, the hotel took money from my account. The general manager made no effort to resolve it and just tried to justify it. I got no help at all from the Accor service center.

Everything I needed was there, including accessories in the room, good beds, and a good internet connection. Breakfast was very good too. The hotel is very central, with a bus stop on the central street just a minute away and a supermarket nearby.

The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing while I was there, and the hotel is within walking distance of old town. Some pristine beaches are a short drive away. My booking.com reservation said there would be a bath, but my room only had a shower. They could have changed my room, but I didn’t need a bath. If you do, consider requesting one. Private parking is outside beside the building and costs extra; there’s also some public parking out front. The desk is open 24 hours, and the staff speak English. I’d recommend the hotel and would gladly stay again.

This was my first time staying at a Mercure, but it won’t be my last. From check-in through checkout, it was a great experience. The room was clean and had an amazing scent that I really liked. The shower head hose came off, but they replaced it straight away. The front desk staff were amazing, and breakfast had the things I usually like, so no complaints there. It’s a nice 10 minute walk to the old city.
