I stayed in the smaller one-bed room. It felt a bit tighter than a similar American room, but worked fine for one person or a couple. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and good value, with helpful, communicative staff. It sits in a quiet residential area, and the location is more convenient than the map suggests. The airport and central train station are about a 20-minute bus ride away. If you’re reasonably fit, you can walk into the city; I did it several times, and it took about half an hour. The optional breakfast was quite good, with some real Lithuanian food, much better than an American equivalent. At 10 euros a day, though, I’m not sure it’s worth it. There’s some plane noise, but it wasn’t enough to bother me. If you’re on a budget, I’d choose this over places in the city center.

I felt safe throughout my whole stay, which mattered a lot since this was my first solo trip as a woman. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I checked in late, and they carefully sent me English instructions for how to do it. The room was very clean, with a water boiler, tea, and a fan. They refreshed the towels and cleaned every day. The hotel is close to VNO Airport and the city station, with Lidl and Maxima supermarkets about a five-minute walk away. You can catch a bus from there to different parts of the city. This is my fourth stay here already. It’s a quiet, comfortable, friendly hotel with a nice breakfast. The airport and downtown are close by taxi. I love this place.

We ended up searching for another hotel in the middle of the night because we couldn't stay there with small children. When we reached the room, the beds had clearly already been used, and there were empty bottles, glasses, and towels scattered around. We’d been told the reception was open until 8 and that the key and entry instructions would be left for us, after we mentioned our late flight. The listing says there’s a 24-hour desk. The owners never called afterward to apologize or explain. I wouldn’t call amicus a hotel or a hostel. It felt like a hole. Stay away.
