The staff were very friendly, the location was good, and breakfast was okay, though the selection was limited and nothing special. The hotel is small but convenient for a short visit. We only came in late to sleep, so finding bits of rubbish on the room floor wasn’t a major issue that night, but it would have been unpleasant on a longer stay. We were on the first floor beside reception, and could hear people arriving, leaving, checking in and out, and using the bathroom next to our room. Our windows faced the back garden, near a gate that was used from early morning and kept making noise. I’d stay for one night again, but would ask for a room on another floor. I’d skip breakfast too, since nearby cafes offered better options for the same price. The restaurant was probably closed because of covid, although the website said it was open. The receptionist kindly suggested a local cafe for an inexpensive dinner, but it wasn’t within walking distance, so you’d need a car.
