A nice fish soup couldn’t make up for how far this place has fallen. A year apart, the photos of the pork schnitzel tell the story. It had a brief moment in the sun, like a meteor, and now it feels like decline and darkness. That’s about all there is to say. One less restaurant option in a town that already has very few.

It’s right by the water and has a nice garden, but both the room and the meal felt overpriced for their quality. Our room was small, the blanket and pillow smelled, and the fridge was noisy. They provided hand soap only, and nobody cleaned the room during our two-night stay.

We had dinner by the water, with lovely surroundings, good service, and portions that were just right. We also got smoked fish to go. Highly recommend.

The restaurant was okay, though there isn’t much to choose from in Preila. We stayed here a few years ago, and the room smelled awful from the kitchen downstairs. We could hear kitchen noise all the time, and the room was far too expensive.
