Parking and Wi-Fi were good, and the fridge had a freezer. The dishwasher and washing machine were useful, though we missed having a tumble dryer on humid days. Bo house is a great restaurant just a minute away on foot. We expected more privacy. The neighbors are close enough to see us, and we could see them too. Noise insulation between rooms in the same apartment was pretty good, though. Some services tended the grass every day, sometimes turning up unexpectedly twice between 8 am and 8 pm with noisy machines. Even the good insulation couldn’t block that.

The village is calm and lovely, and there’s a stop nearby if needed. Bo house is a great restaurant close by, although it’s pretty expensive. We enjoyed it a lot. We stayed in the 3rd Apartment at Smelynas 39C. It felt like a premium place, with a washing machine, dishwasher, very fast induction cooker, lovely cutlery and plates, and a vacuum so we could keep the room clean. The bathroom was heated, hot water came quickly, ventilation was good, and the windows had mosquito screens. Best of all for the kids, there was a great playground. Our parking space was dedicated, but we could pull up by the entrance to unload when we arrived and before leaving. It was also handy to leave our bicycles outside by the windows. The sea is quite far, maybe one or two kilometers, but we could cycle to Nida on a very good dedicated bike road.

Apartment no. 5 was lovely, and it had everything, heated floors, a washing machine, dishwasher, dryer, even coffee and oil. The cleanliness was impeccable, unlike anything I've seen before. It’s a shame the hotel itself isn’t by the Marija. Still, the apartment more than makes up for the location. We travel around, but honestly, we don’t want to leave the apartment 😂
