The administration was friendly and helpful, and the best part of the hotel is how quiet it is. It sits among newly built houses in a village-like area, not far from the main road. To find it, take the Nemirseta-Palanga road heading either north or south. Around halfway, look for a rock with a horse on the right when going north, or a plain rock on the left when going south. Turn there, then turn right after 100-200 meters. The houses in the photo will be on your left. The letdown was our accommodation: we’d booked the little hut but were given a room in the main house instead.

The sea is 500 meters away from these lovely, cozy cabins. They’re set up perfectly for children.

The cottage was perfectly clean, with no smells, and that was the one good thing about the stay. The cabins are arranged so there’s no privacy from the other guests or the hosts, and we felt the hosts’ control and disapproval the whole time. We came with a dog and a child, and the host made his displeasure clear, asking me to keep the dog away from him even though we hadn’t planned to let it near him. He also reacted that way to other guests with dogs. When our child was playing during the day, he rattled the window and wagged his finger at them. Luckily the weather was great, so we didn’t have to spend much time there. We stay in places like this fairly often, but hadn’t been here before, and we don’t recommend it at all. The wooden cottages have no air conditioning and get hot for sleeping. You can’t get a draft at night unless you sleep with the door open.

It’s a peaceful spot with nicely decorated grounds and cozy rooms, away from the center. You’ll need to travel for shopping or entertainment. Each room has its own outdoor barbecue, there’s a playground for children, and you can bring two dogs.
