Palanga Life Balance SPA Hotel

The spa was disappointing, with only about seven loungers for a hotel this size, and both the indoor and outdoor jacuzzis felt uncomfortably cold. We could also hear conversations and noise from neighboring rooms very clearly, so it was hard to relax. The service was poor from the start. At the lobby, four employees were standing there when we asked how to get to the spa, but nobody answered until we asked again. One then turned to a colleague to have him take us over, without addressing us directly. The staff member who escorted us, a guy with a big birthmark on his face, seemed surprised we only had one room key. Nobody had told us at check-in that spa access needed separate key cards. He said, “then you’ll just have to share,” which felt rude and unprofessional. Reception didn’t greet or smile, and nobody offered to show us to our room. The whole stay lacked warmth and basic hospitality, nowhere near five-star service. Even Monist, which is more affordable, has given us much better service. I wouldn’t recommend this if you expect genuine five-star treatment.

We rented a two-bedroom apartment, and it had everything we needed. The setting among the pines and firs by the park felt magical, with family amenities nearby and the beach just a minute away. The staff were so attentive, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of choice, plus lovely coffee with alternative milks. We’ll be back! 🧡

Low season is especially peaceful here, and it’s always a pleasure to return. The staff are friendly, the rooms are comfortable and have what you need, and I think it’s the best breakfast in Palanga. The rooms in the Luxury building were clean but worn, and both the rooms and wellness area feel dated. I first stayed here nine years ago and little seems to have changed. The wellness area could use more care too. The rust on the metal rails in the pool or jacuzzi looks like something that could be removed with cleaning products, but it seems nobody is looking after it.

Audrius at the front desk deserves a special thanks. He’s always friendly and very helpful, and the customer service overall is great. The hotel is clean, modern, and luxurious, with lovely attention to detail. Its spot by the sea among the pine trees feels calm and relaxing, and the spa zone is awesome. Highly recommend.
