Harmony Park Countryside Villas & SPA

There were bed bugs and a spider in the room, so I have to wonder how well it was cleaned. Reception service was disappointing too. The spa was crowded, with just one hot jacuzzi, which was always full, leaving only cold pools available. The saunas were decent.

It felt like a real natural setting, surrounded by nature. Early in the morning I saw a moose running, and later a bunny. Very nice place, and the breakfast was good.

I’d stick to weekends at Harmony Park, including Sunday to Monday for the same price. Our first weekday stay felt like less value and less care than the weekends. We’ve visited many times and usually love the spacious, peaceful grounds, the good spa, and the fancy but cozy hotel. A few details made this visit disappointing. The spa bar had no staff, there were no cups by the water cooler, and reception was unattended for a long time. I saw a woman unable to get into the spa because of it. The hammam had no music, and its lights weren’t on. The weekend buffet breakfast was replaced by a set menu. The food was tasty, but I really enjoy having lots of choices at a buffet. We weren’t allowed two hot dishes each either. I wanted pancakes from the hot menu instead of dessert, but couldn’t swap them. Also, the outdoor Kelo sauna, one of the best, was closed. The website does mention that, but it was still a letdown.

The luxury rooms are beautiful and almost perfect, with a huge terrace. The grounds felt less luxurious, and we didn’t fancy trying the mini golf. Inside, the idea of luxury seemed more like Lithuania 15 or 20 years ago. More Trump than Tucci. The staff were amazing and willing to handle any request, which made the stay remarkable. Getting there, though, meant driving down a very dusty gravel road. Take the route with tarmac all the way from Birštonas Road.
