Hotel Brimer

The wait for our food ran a little long, but it was worth it. The place has an old school feel, though it has its own charm. The meat was cooked just right, and the fresh sauces were amazing. Portions were okay, although we would have liked one more small piece of meat.

The wellness area was spotless, with a pool, aromatherapy sauna, dry and wet saunas, and massages. You can ask about a massage on the day or just drop in to check availability. I've stayed twice and plan to come back. The rooms are spacious and clean, though a bit old, and the cleaning service makes up for that. Breakfast is about what you'd expect from a four star hotel. Dinner may seem pricey, but it was very good and worth it. The restaurant and sauna are both great value, and my stays were very good overall.

Breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We loved the spa and swimming pool, and our room was very clean. The location also works well, close to the Müllerthal as well as cities and castles.

The kitchen was the highlight for us: generous portions of refined food in a classic French style, plus an excellent breakfast. We stayed four nights and had a brilliant time. It's an old school family hotel, with very friendly staff, large clean rooms and a good wellness area. The hotel feels quite isolated, with nothing close by. The only nearby businesses burned down last week. Still, there are lovely hikes about a 10 minute drive away, including Grune Hölle in Bollendorf, and you can walk to some canyons straight from the hotel. We were there with friends and had a stellar stay. I'd highly recommend it for a few days in nature.
