The Residence Gare

Cleanliness and location were good, but the stay had several problems. Wi-Fi barely worked most of the time, and the pillows were too thin to sleep comfortably. I asked the housekeeper for extra ones, but none were brought. I got in late after a long coach trip from Amsterdam, delayed by heavy traffic. The poor connection on the road meant I couldn't see the hotel's messages. The taxi dropped us far away, and as it was my first time in Luxembourg, I struggled to find the hotel and hoped the staff would help. I contacted Tony to explain. He said he was putting his kids to bed and told me to get the key and go wherever I wanted. I tried calling several times, but he declined the calls. It was almost 11 pm, and I sent him a photo showing where I was stranded, just 50 meters from the hotel. He said he had no idea where I was. The listing should make clear if late check-in isn't allowed. I'd paid in full and wasn't asking for special treatment, just some empathy. For what I paid, I'd look for a better option next time.
