The hotel restaurant serves great Latin and Mexican food, with good local wines to choose from. Breakfast was quite good, though it could be better, and they’ll serve you a hot breakfast by default, which more places should do. The hotel is right in the town centre, facing the river and close to the best restaurants. My room was large, modern, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s definitely a top destination for me now.

The room was spacious and clean, and the hotel hosts were very kind. I’m very pleased with the hotel. One small difficulty was that they know very little English, so it can be hard to understand each other if you don’t speak French or German.

The food was excellent, though the menu was limited in the budget range. Breakfast was five-star, with eggs cooked fresh and great coffee. The newly refurbished rooms made this a perfect stop for tired cyclists.

I left disappointed, though the staff were friendly. They seemed overwhelmed and didn’t really know how to deal with the problem. I ordered the vegetarian salad, but it came with shrimp. I sent it back and got the same bowl again with the shrimp picked out. Some ingredients listed on the menu were missing too. I’d been excited after seeing the large salad bowls online, like the ones at Daiwelskichen or Manso in Luxembourg City. It looks like they’ve changed the menu since, so maybe I’ll try again, but vegetarian choices are limited.
