The beach is just a 13-minute walk away, and the location is great. It’s very clean and peaceful, with all the essentials, and the prices are affordable. The staff are super friendly. I’ll definitely come back sometime.

The sea is nearly 1 km from the accommodation, but it’s still a good place for a family stay. The owners are nearby if you need anything and leave your private space alone.

The owners were friendly enough, although only their daughter spoke some English. For dinner, hotel Pilsbergu Krogs is a 10-minute walk away. It has an excellent restaurant and better accommodation too. This is a large, standalone bungalow in a private family’s backyard at the edge of Jurkalne town. Downstairs there’s a living room with a large leather-style couch, table, and TV, plus a shower, toilet, and sauna. A sign says it costs 35€ to turn on the sauna. Outside the entrance, a covered balcony has dining tables and a tiny basic stove for self-catering if you really need it. Upstairs is one huge bedroom with four or maybe five beds. It can fit a lot of people, but only if you’re all close friends or family, since everyone shares that one room. The place is functional, though quite basic, a bit shabby, and without much charm. For instance, there’s a big tear in the couch patched with duct tape.
