The rooms and service were excellent for an affordable price. One of northern Europe's best beaches is a short walk away. Groceries are a bit of a walk, so bikes are useful. You can borrow or rent them onsite.

The setting is in the forest, near the Riga-Jūrmala electric train, with the sea a bit farther away. Our hosts were nice, and there was a large, well-kept yard with plenty of parking, even for buses. There's a barbecue and an outdoor kitchen, and room for all kinds of vacation groups. The rooms are spacious and tidy, and the kitchen has the utensils you need. The walk to the sea takes about 10 minutes. You cross two busy streets and a bike path, then follow a forest trail that gets narrower and has cobwebs, mosquitoes, and other insects. Shops and two cafes are about a 20-minute walk away. The streets are paved, so getting around by car is convenient, and frequent electric trains don't cause a disturbance. You can hear the forest rustling, and maybe the sea too. I'd recommend it to people who want the feel of a country homestead while still being close to civilization.

It's quiet, green, and cozy, and close to the sea without people constantly passing by since the street is a dead end. There are picnic and grilling spots, as well as a playground, sandbox, trampoline, and bungee.

We rented the neat, cozy apartment with friends, two families with three children and four adults. There were two big bedrooms and one small one, and two more people could sleep on the living room sofa. The hostess was lovely and helpful. We could use the bikes for free, and they even had child seats. With a park nearby, it was especially nice to ride over there. Everything was great, we recommend it 200%.
