The breakfast was good, though it could use more variety. The rooms are large but a little dated. It has a distinctive atmosphere, housed in a former port warehouse.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with an old-fashioned look that may not work for anyone after modern amenities. There's a heritage feel to the hotel, and it could suit you for a short stay if you like a classic vibe. It has its own charm, but won't be to everyone's taste.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel is right in the center. I also liked the solid, beautiful design, with artwork throughout; some of the pieces are for sale.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with a good spread, excellent salmon, and lovely fried eggs. Our room was spacious and very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The decor felt a little random and odd, but that didn't bother us since everyone has different tastes. The AC could have been stronger.

Getting around was easy, with buses, trams, boats, and the tourist train right outside. The canal is nearby, and the entertainment center and Post Office are opposite. Cafes, shops, restaurants, and the beach are all a short walk away. I loved the hotel itself too. The staff were always on hand and gave exceptional service. My room felt luxurious, and the blackout curtains made for a good night's sleep. The buffet breakfast and meals at the Piano restaurant were first class. I'd highly recommend the Promenade Hotel Liepaja!
