The riverbank has its own relaxation area with a grill, sauna, and kubla, plus separate river access for swimming and fishing. You can also use SUP boards. The garden has a grill and a children’s swing, and the hostess is kind and easy to talk to. The only drawback for us was the water’s strong, river-like smell, so we brought drinking water and used that. Nothing else bothered us. The house is in a residential part of Pavilosta, but the large, tree-filled plot screens the neighboring homes. It’s only a couple of minutes by car to the center, with shops, cafes, and a seaside walking spot. The owner lives downstairs; upstairs there’s a room with separate areas and an open balcony with garden furniture for sitting outside in good weather. There’s a full kitchen with a large fridge, kettle, microwave, electric stove, utensils, and a welcome supply of coffee and tea. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, and hairdryer. Sleeping space includes two small separate beds and a large double bed. A little room is set up for children with toys and a patterned rug. There’s also a TV and DVDs, and a small stove for heating.

The apartments are spacious and very good value. It’s a pretty, well-kept place that works well for children, with everything you need for a family holiday.

We really liked this peaceful, quiet spot by the river for a family break. The hosts were accommodating, and everything seemed thoughtfully taken care of.
