Our classmates were coming from several cities and even other countries for a February reunion, so having the guest house cancel just a couple of weeks beforehand was a real shock. We had booked back in November and paid a 50% deposit. The host said the owner had received a better offer for the house. If you don't want to be left in the lurch, stay away.

The grounds aren't private, so people can walk past the house. A lot of the inventory was broken or unusable, and the workmanship felt cheap. Poorly executed.

We had a lovely time at a friend's anniversary on March 21, 2026. The welcome was warm, the place felt cozy, and the tables were full of all kinds of treats. Everything tasted delicious. I'm not sure who said in the comments that the food was bland and portions were small, but that wasn't our experience at all. Thanks for being so hospitable, and all the best.

We'd rented a different cottage here for an event four years ago and had a good experience, but things have changed. At the wedding we attended this time, the meal was delicious and the table was beautifully set. The trouble came when we tried to sleep in the cottage: there was no bed linen, just a blanket in the sofa storage, and the sofa was broken. Its pull-out section stayed up only when nothing was on it, then dropped as soon as someone sat down. We tried to make it usable for a couple of hours of sleep, but the screws holding the pull-out parts were either loose or missing, so it couldn't be fixed. The owners should prepare better for guests.
