The room was clean and breakfast was good. You can get a good dinner too, if you want. Perfect hotel, five stars!

The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean and cozy. But the shower drained so slowly that the next person had to wait for the water to clear. The pillows were hard, which could be especially uncomfortable for older guests. The sauna and pool cost extra, and the cafe felt modest for a three-star hotel. Breakfast was more than modest in the wrong way, and although our dinner dishes tasted great, the food prices seemed disproportionately high. That’s why I’m giving it three stars.

The little restaurant was a pleasant surprise, with generous portions and very good meals. I especially enjoyed the soups, and trying the local dark bread is a must. The service was outstanding and they took all our requests into account. I’d expected less from a small hotel in a small city, but our room was large, clean, and fresh-looking, with a comfortable bed and a spacious, clean bathroom. The shower had good pressure, and even the water seemed softer than in Riga.

The hotel looks great, and my room was roomy and comfortable. I particularly liked the bathroom and the curtains, which made the mornings completely dark. There are plenty of sports facilities, including a football pitch, and the place is recently built and very clean. It seems to sit in the middle of a construction site, though that didn’t cause a problem. Breakfast was the weak point: little variety, and the food took a long time to be replenished.
