This is about the restaurant. The portions are fairly generous, but the food was pretty average. It’s fine in a home-cooked kind of way, though at this price I expected more. You can get that nearby, as my other reviews mention, so I’d give it three stars, okay.

There’s a terrace, and the beach is about a 5-minute walk away. It’s one of the better places to eat in Vecaki, though the food wasn’t as tasty as last year, possibly because they have a different cook. The menu is basic, with nothing special. Main dish and a drink come to around 10-20 euros per person. In summer, parking costs 2 euros a day in the public lot or 3 euros a day privately.

We had a great meal here, with generous portions for what they cost. The service was friendly and helpful, and the place had a surprisingly relaxed feel. I’ll be making it a regular stop. Five stars.

A nice outdoor spot in Esplanada park, with a good selection of beer. I’m giving it four stars because the prices are a little higher than at similar cafes in Riga.
