Turiba

This was the worst experience. I was admitted to the university in September 2025, and my classes started on 29 sep 2025. The agent cheated me by not giving me my BATIS account details. The university sent them to the wrong email, and I didn’t know about any of this. They never contacted me either, so I missed a month and a half of classes. A friend came from Greece after her internship and told me what was going on. I emailed the university, and they called me to the office. A woman there, whose name I didn’t know, was very rude and didn’t understand my problem. She asked why I had left my hostel. There were lots of cockroaches there and it wasn’t clean. Then the university terminated my contract and cancelled my RP card. They didn’t refund my fees either. As a student, I would never recommend this university.

Hi, my dear Asian international friends. We chose Turiba University because we wanted an affordable education abroad with good quality, and it offers both. It’s a good university for international students and their studies. Some students say the hostel is bad, but are we keeping it clean and looking after it, or making it worse ourselves? Others call the college racist, but I haven’t felt that during my time at Turiba. If someone feels that way, it may be a misunderstanding. When we move to another country, challenges are part of it, and we need to follow that country’s rules rather than expect everything to feel like home. If you fail an exam, that isn’t the university’s fault. You can pay the fee again and retake it, which is how the system works everywhere. Negative comments can hurt the university’s reputation and affect other students from our country, so let’s give feedback responsibly.

I had a great week here taking a BIP course. The teachers were great, the building is older but well maintained, and the accommodation was fine.

There’s a hair salon on the G floor with very reasonable prices. It’s the largest business school in Latvia.
