The room had more bugs than I expected, more than one mosquito, which was the main downside for us. Still, it was clean and the staff were really nice. We enjoyed the restaurant food and the SPA procedures, too. The place itself is beautiful and has a lot of history. The Milk museum felt mostly aimed at kids, so I didn't find it as entertaining as I'd hoped. Apart from that, a lovely visit.

The spa area is really nice, and the cafe is pleasant, though pricey. In the spa, I'd skip the bath offer: it was just a bath with dried rose petals, and I didn't notice any benefit to my skin. The rooms also felt drab and a bit worn. Even the ones called “large” were small, with no TV, kettle, or other extras. It was a nice stay, but not worth 400 EUR for two people for one night, including 1h Spa, 1h bath, and dinner. Those are Riga-level prices for a place presenting itself as a 3 star hotel and Spa.

We came here for dinner and were surprised by how gloomy the “restaurant” felt. There was flypaper above the tables, and the room had no ambience. It was completely quiet apart from the kitchen sounds. The food was average, while 20€ for 2 potato pancakes felt far too expensive. It seems to aim for a fancy, upscale feel, but falls short in so many ways. The hype is hard to understand. Over rated.

We didn't have time to wait for food, so we got deserts for keeds and a capuchino. The capuchino was good, but the deserts were even better! I hadn't been to restourants in Latvia for the last 2 years, so I hadn't been keeping up with prices. They were a bit higher than I expected. Maybe that's because of Covid, or maybe it's just this restautant. I don't know. It's a hidden restaurant in the middle of nowhere, but this was my second visit, and I don't regret coming back. By the way, they use only or mostly deer meat in their dishes. They have a deer farm over there.
