Marbella Rezidence

The baby cot had a smell like cigarettes or something old, and the bed sheet kept slipping off the corners. We stayed two nights, two adults and two small children, and the whole experience felt weird. The place seemed cheap and uncomfortable, with very thin walls. We heard everything in the hallway, and when someone walked in the next apartment, the floor shook enough for us to feel every step. The interior looked clean only on the surface, and the bathroom fixtures seemed rusty. There was nowhere in the bathroom to set toiletries. Guests have to wash the dishes they use, but the previous guests had left them badly done, so we had to rewash everything before using it. Payment was cash only. I definitely wouldn't consider staying here again.

There was plenty of space to park, and the hotel is in a very good spot. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable, but a strong, strange smell came from the bathroom. I think it was the water.

I love this hotel and am looking forward to another visit. There’s good space, it’s very clean, the price is perfect, and the location works well. The receptionist was very helpful and spoke English and Latvian. I also liked the room lighting and where the switches were. A few things could be better: the flat-screen TV in my room wasn’t connected to cable or Wi-Fi, so it was just decoration. There was no bath soap, and payment was cash only. A paid luggage service or locker would be useful.

The hotel is near the port and about 2 km from the beach. It was clean, beautiful and posh, with a very comfortable bathroom and a smart TV for Netflix. The staff were so kind and pleasant. The boy at the front desk was especially sweet and helpful, showing me places to visit in Ventspils on a map. Remember to bring cash, as they don't take cards.
