Hôtel Marhaba

The friendly staff and the easy walk to the beach promenade were definite pluses. The breakfast was okay, and our room was clean. You get what you pay for, with an ocean view included. The interior is aged and particularly worn, and the disco bar was loud. Overall, quite good for the price.

The hotel is well located, and our room looked over the bay of Agadir. The rooms are outdated and weren’t very clean in some places, and the sunbeds need replacing. Service around the bar wasn’t very good, and pizza bar snacks were only available after 3pm. The staff weren’t very helpful or friendly, didn’t cater much for English, and drinks were a bit expensive. I wouldn’t give this the three-star rating advertised.

The rooms don’t quite meet the standard, except for the view. Ours opened straight onto the sea, over the garden and pool. The hotel is said to be one of the oldest in town, and given its age and some reviews, I expected worse at first. The staff were friendly and respectfully did their best. Breakfast was okay and dinner was good, generally served nicely at the table. The restaurant was spacious and bright, with large windows opening onto the Bay of Agadir.

Very bad hotel and bad service. I gave a tip and got help, but without one they didn’t help. The staff were neither good nor particularly unpleasant, just not helpful. Reception staff didn’t seem to take the work seriously. I stayed last September. The rooms were old with antique furniture, and the pool was dirty. If you can go to another hotel, that would be better.
